Our Story

The Horseshoe Inn, as featured on "Ben Fogle: Make a new life in the country, was built in the late 18th Century and has been sensitively and extensively refurbished by the current owners, Paul and Toni, who purchased the inn July 2020

Located in Mid-Argyll, the Horseshoe is perfectly placed in the village of Kilmichael Glassary with beautiful landscapes and vistas on the doorstep. An abundance of wildlife and local jaunts await, to help nourish the spirit and soul.

We also have a 1 bedroom self-contained cottage "The Stables" which is next to the inn and is available through booking.com or you can call us directly.  Our only aim is to ensure you enjoy a relaxing and unforgettable stay.

We have a choice of four cosy rooms to dine in, and our public bar is warm and welcoming. You can enjoy a drink from our extensive range of beers and real ales or our sophisticated wine list. Or why not indulge in one of our cocktails by the open fire. Weather permitting, you have the additional choice of enjoying our alfresco dining experience in our newly landscaped beer courtyard.
